TWINOX NAIL FILE SOLID STAINLESS STEEL
One of the most important and commonly used manicure instruments is the nail file. It comes in a variety of versions, materials, sizes and forms.
The tip of the file plate is usually formed as a nail cleaner while a cuticle pusher is often integrated in the plastic grip.
The file should always be moved at a slight angle along the nail in one direction.
The coarse side forms while the fine side smoothes.
Types of nail file
The sapphire file:
The basic material of a sapphire-coated nail file is made from hardened file steel sheet. Sharp edged
aluminium oxide abrasive grains or a similar sharp edged grinding material are embedded in a nickel/chromium layer by electrochemical means.
The sides of the file can have different filing surfaces, coarse and fine.
The sand plate file:
The sand plate file is a simple product for a short useful life.
The body of the file consists of layers of paper, cardboard or thin sheets of wood. Sand plate files
are coated with a coarse and a fine grain, so they are suitable for shaping nails to form as well as
finishing them off. They tend to be somewhat aggressive and can leave filing grooves on the area filed.
